In November, TMA resolved to
increase its capital to L.L.60 billion (US$40 million), and appointed a new
Chairman and President. A new restructuring plan was initiated to restore the
company's leading role in the international airfreight market |

TMA launched its new logo,
reflecting the new image of the restructured Company and inaugurated its first
flight to Shanghai, to become the first Arab airline to operate a scheduled
service to this important Chinese city. TMA also obtained the ISO 9002
certificate for Quality in services for the totality of its activities and
operations. |

Pioneering Achievements
After its establishment in 1953,
TMA grew rapidly to become one of the world's major cargo airlines with
