1953 TMA started as a non-scheduled airline for cargo and passengers
1959 TMA was certified as the only Lebanese scheduled all cargo airline
1961 Opening of the first office in North America
1966 Entering the jet-age, TMA leased its first B707-320C freighter
1971 TMA inaugurated its round the world all cargo scheduled service
1976

Addition of 2 B747 freighters to the company’s B707 fleet

1985 Temporary suspension of operations as a result of the Lebanese civil war
1996 In November, TMA resolved to increase its capital to L.L.60 billion (US$40 million), and appointed a new Chairman and President
1998

TMA launched its new logo and obtained the ISO 9002 certificate for Quality in services for the totality of its activities

1999

TMA was ranked by IATA among the Top 5 Airlines in the world in Cargo Load Factor.

2008 TMA had a new management, Mr Mazen Bissat was appointed as CEO and Chairman of the Board.
2009 TMA got its new Aircraft A300F4-622.
2010 TMA resumed its operations in July. In conjunction with Lufthansa Consulting a new business plan for TMA Operations was introduced which was approved by TMA shareholders.
2012 Captain Riad Mikaoui was appointed as CEO. Business Plan was put in effect. The first of 3 B767-300 ER SF expected freighters was introduced.


TMA reached a stage where it became:

The First All cargo airline in the Middle East
The First Airline with scheduled cargo service linking Europe and the Far East
The First Airline offering Round-the-World all cargo service, in East and West bound directions
The First Air services in the Arab World linking USA with Middle East
The First Airline to operate a B747 in the Arab World
The First Cargo airline to link Tokyo with New York indirect services over Anchorage resulting in the largest all cargo network
The First Airline to obtain ISO 9002 Certification for the totality of its activities and operations in year 1998.

TMA was an active member of IATA (The International Air Transport Association) especially in cargo activities and committees, and was a founding member of AACO (The Arab Air Carriers Organization).
